A few classroom norms to keep in mind in regards to laptops / other technology:
- Open laptops are typically not allowed during classes at CBS (with the exception of Decision Models which makes use of several programs on your computer).
- Checking your email on your smartphone is also strong discouraged during class.
- Using tablets (e.g. iPads) during class has not yet been specifically addressed by Professors – so be aware that you may not be able to use your tablet for taking notes during class
